The City of Goodyear is seeking highly motivated individuals to work as Recreation Center Attendants at the Goodyear Recreation Center. This is a part-time position, and the ideal candidate will possess good customer service and communication skills, be positive and friendly and willing to assist in the variety of operational areas at the Goodyear Recreation Center.
The ideal candidate for the Recreation Attendant position should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all facility users. They should be diligent in monitoring users. Exceptional customer service skills are a must, as they will be responsible for greeting patrons, answering calls, and providing accurate information about GRC operations and programming. The candidate should be proactive in maintaining the cleanliness and order of fitness equipment and facility areas, assisting with event set-up/take down, and consistently enforcing facility policies. Furthermore, the ability to handle and resolve disputes, accidents, and incidents professionally is crucial, and a willingness to adapt to any other duties assigned by a supervisor is expected.

Examination Process
All qualified applicants who meet the City of Goodyear’s requirements will be invited to move on to the examination process, which includes a panel interview. - Monitor users in the weight room, indoor track, gymnasium, fitness studios, teen room, front desk and other areas of the building to safe practices.
- Provide excellent customer service and greet patrons.
- Maintain knowledge of GRC operations and programming to share accurate information with participants.
- Complete signup procedures for GRC programs and rentals such as swimming lessons, sport programs, groupfitness classes, ramada rentals and more.
- Answer, screen and direct incoming calls and appointments.
- Clean and maintain the fitness equipment, welcome center, indoor track, storage, lobby and other areas of theGRC.
- Assist participants with acquisition of checkout equipment.
- Assist with event and program set-up/take down.
- Minimum one-year experience in customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills
