JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Communicate effectively with court staff, attorneys, judges, and defendants
- Maintain safety and order in the courtroom
- Call the court to order
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the police department, lake county prosecutor’s Office, and Clerk’s Office
- Handle evidence and court documents
- Escort jurors, witnesses, and prisoners
- Other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred, an associate degree is acceptable
- Must be a Lake County resident
- Must have knowledge and training in security procedures
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
