CREW MEMBER II – Street Maintenance: Tree Crew

Starting Salary: $36,171

Join our team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our city's streets and green spaces! We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Crew Member ll - Street Maintenance Tree Crew Member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general semi-skilled labor tasks with physical strength and stamina
• Operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment for street maintenance
• Work as part of the Tree Crew, Asphalt Crew, and Concrete Crew
• Utilize chainsaws and chippers for tree maintenance
• Drive street maintenance vehicles, including dump trucks, for snow removal
• Sand icy or oily streets, and shovel snow
• Conduct routine ground maintenance tasks
• Complete work order and daily report paperwork
  
  

Auxiliary Duties:

• Work overtime during emergencies, weather events, and snow removal operations
  
  

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform a full range of duties with general supervision
• Follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Communicate well with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers
• Valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License
• Pass required criminal background and driving record checks
