Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain automobiles, trucks, equipment, and tools
- Perform journey-level mechanical repair work
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles and equipment
- Drive snowplows and/or sand spreaders as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive repair and computer training in automotive systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Possession of a Virginia Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Clean driving record that meets city requirements
- Successful completion of a background and driving record check
- Membership in the Virginia Retirement System
