As a Streets Technician, you'll perform essential construction, maintenance, and cleaning duties to keep the City of Frankfort functioning safely and efficiently under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assists in installing, constructing, repairing and/or cleaning City buildings, streets and roads, floodwalls, sidewalks, storm sewers, culverts, catch basins, manholes, drainage ditches, street signs, barricades, guard rails, etc.
• Paints curbs and parking lines.
• Mows grass; collects leaves; cuts weeds, trees and tree limbs.
• Assists in salting or otherwise treating streets and roads; removes snow.
• Assists in pouring concrete and making forms.
• Assists with paving and asphalt repairs.
• Performs general construction and maintenance duties.
• Provide safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure work area is clean, and all equipment and tools are properly stored after use.
• Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies such as weather events, etc.
• Operates both CDL and Non-CDL required light to heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Assists in performing public works duties in other Divisions and Departments as needed.
• Maintains clean and sanitary buildings, vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
