$ 28.00 hourly ($64,064 annually while in training)
$ 28.95 hourly ($66,238 annually upon being credentialed)

Qualifications
Additional five (5) points shall be added to a passing exam score as follows:
Military Veteran = Five (5) points with Honorable Discharge, per DD214 Member 4
NOTE: (1) The Civil Service Entry exam will be a live, in-person exam and qualified applicants will be required to report in person on their assigned location, date and time to take the exam.

Qualifications
- 18- 39 years of age (cannot have reached 40th birthday by July 15, 2026)
- Valid and Current Driver’s License
- MUST be certified as a Paramedic on the date of application
- MUST have worked at least 18 months as a Paramedic providing advanced emergency medical services outside of a hospital setting
- Successfully pass a written test, a physical assessment test, a background check, a polygraph examination, a psychological examination, an interview board and a medical / physical examination.

- Must email a copy of DD214 Member 4 to FWFDHiring@fortworthtexas.gov no later than July 14, 2026 @ 6:30PM
