Theatre Utility Worker – Facilities & Grounds Hours vary; evenings, weekends, and holidays during event season

What You'll Do Assist the Facilities & Grounds Lead with cleaning, maintenance, and outdoor operations at the Foellinger Theatre. Support venue readiness, event setup, and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests, performers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning: sweeping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, surface wiping, and restocking supplies
- Support pre-show and post-event venue cleanup, including seating areas and public spaces
- Assist with landscaping: mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, watering, and debris removal
- Help maintain outdoor aesthetics and safety standards
- Assist with minor facility upkeep: repairs, painting, cleaning fixtures
- Set up and strike equipment for events, including chairs, signage, trash bins, and barricades
- Monitor and report hazards, maintenance issues, or unsafe conditions
- Support Parks Maintenance staff and other departments as needed
- Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices
Skills & Experience
- High school diploma
- Experience in custodial work, groundskeeping, general labor, or facility maintenance preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and perform routine manual tasks
- Able to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Flexible schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions
