Theatre Technician – Production Hours vary, including evenings, weekends, and event days
Support every stage and backstage moment to make every show run smoothly.
What You'll Do Assist with stage, lighting, rigging, and general production tasks at Foellinger Theatre. Ensure safe, efficient setup, changeovers, and strike for concerts, community events, and rentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support load-in, setup, changeovers, and strike of stage and backline equipment
- Assist audio and lighting departments with cabling, patching, and equipment placement
- Maintain safe, organized, and clean stage and backstage areas
- Move and position gear, risers, and production equipment safely
- Follow venue safety protocols, including weight limits, electrical safety, and weather procedures
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly
- Provide technical or general labor support as needed
What You Bring | Education & Experience
- High school diploma; advanced education in theater/production preferred
- Experience in concerts, events, or production environments preferred
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of audio, lighting, or stagecraft a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work outdoors, and handle physically demanding tasks
- Ability to understand and follow moderately complex instructions
Required Certifications
- ETCP Certified Entertainment Electrician preferred
- Valid Indiana Driver's License if using City vehicle
