Responsibilities
- Operate water treatment and wastewater systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections, data collection, and analysis of water quality parameters to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on industrial pumps, water treatment equipment, and wastewater systems to prevent downtime.
- Manage heavy equipment operation including construction machinery and tanker trucks for system upgrades or emergency responses.
- Follow safety regulations diligently by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks and adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new water treatment or wastewater equipment as needed.
- Support environmental compliance efforts by documenting operational data, completing reports, and participating in audits.
Optional Requirements
- Will train. Prior experience, and current certifications are encouraged, but not required for hire.
- Proven experience working in water utility distribution, water treatment plants, or wastewater treatment facilities.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance on pumps, plumbing, and related systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial automation technology.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as construction machinery or tanker trucks safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to industrial operations and environmental standards.
- Basic math skills for data analysis, measurements, and calculations related to water quality testing.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, and construction activities.
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues quickly and effectively.
