Library Specialist - Adult Services Department
Part-time

We are looking for applicants with strong technology skills who are committed to excellent customer service and teamwork for our Adult Services Department.
Essential responsibilities:
- Assists library patrons by finding materials, answering questions, assisting with media advisory, and providing technology assistance
- Teaches monthly technology classes on a variety of topics such as Microsoft Office, computer and smartphone skills, creative technologies, and other topics
- Works on special projects and displays for the Department
- Helps to maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and the internet
- High aptitude with creative technology software and equipment
- One year of customer service experience
- Ability to interact patiently and pleasantly with people of all ages
Hourly rate & schedule
- $18.02 per hour
- 16 hours per week
- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
- Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m., weekends on rotation
