This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
City of Edmond Detention Facility is located in the downtown area at 100 E. First Street. This positions primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and care of inmates during their confinement at the detention facility.

The Work
- Booking inmates into the Detention Center.
- Checking for drugs or weapons and physically restraining inmates/releasing inmates from the Detention Center.
- Supervision of inmate’s well-being (feeding, showering, health issues, and monitoring).
- Complete fingerprinting for citizens and inmates.
- This Position requires 24/7 operation and consists of working shifts with frequent overtime and working holidays and weekends.
- Responsible for complete cleaning, disinfecting, and de-contaminating of inmate area.
