The City of Easthampton is seeking a Summer Camp Director for Camp Nonotuck from June 1, 2026, through August 21, 2026. This position oversees all aspects of camp operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organized experience for campers and staff.
Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal
Wages: $20.00 - $22.25 Per Hour
POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibilities include managing camp registration, developing daily schedules, coordinating field trips and transportation, and supervising all programming. The Camp Director is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and overseeing camp staff; conducting weekly staff meetings; reviewing and certifying timesheets; and completing staff evaluations. This role also involves maintaining positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community by communicating policies and procedures and addressing concerns. The Camp Director also serves as the primary liaison between the camp and the community, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of experience in a related leadership position
- Experience working with children in a professional capacity preferred.
