Position: RECREATION STAFF - CAMP AFTER CARE

Department: RECREATION DEPARTMENT

Hours:

June 29, 2026 - August 7, 2026 (6-Week Program) / Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 Pay Range: 

$17.00 per hour / No Benefits

Summary: Under the direction of the supervisors of the Recreation Department, the Recreation Staff Members – Camp After Care provide after camp childcare at the Recreation Center.

General Responsibilities: The following serve as examples of the responsibilities of the position and are not intended to be a comprehensive and limited list.

• Conduct activities such as arts and crafts, games and sports utilizing the center’s facilities and outdoor spaces.
• Follow proper drop-off and pick up procedures as dictated by the Recreation Department’s summer camp.
• Perform work at the Recreation Center at 610 Waterman Avenue. 
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience working with youth is preferred. 
• Must pass a BCI (Background Criminal Investigation) if 18 years of age. 
• Must have a screening performed by the East Providence Police Department if under 18 years of age.

Examination Weight: 100 % Oral Interview
