East Grand Rapids Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach Needed
Currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable coaches for our Middle School Girls Volleyball program.
Coach Responsibilities:
- Lead practices and develop player skills
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive athletic experience
- Supervise players during practices and matches
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the EGR Middle School Athletic Director.
- Promote a positive learning environment for every player
- Play by and teach the rules established by the West Michigan Middle School Conference.
- Be organized throughout the season with excellent player and parent communications
- Promote teamwork and equality for all players
- Inform players/parents of any changes during the season in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Volleyball knowledge and/or coaching experience preferred
- Ability to work positively with middle school-aged athletes
- Must successfully complete all required background screening and employment paperwork prior to starting
MHSAA requires head coaches to maintain current CPR certification. After being hired, any coach who needs certification will be enrolled in an online CPR course. The cost of the course will be fully reimbursed upon successful completion.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from matches and practices.
East Grand Rapids Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach
Player Evaluations: Aug. 24, 25, 26 (TBD between 4:00pm-7:00pm)
Practices begin: Aug. 31 (5:30pm-7:00pm)
Games Begin: September 9, Mondays and Wednesdays (4:00pm and 5:00pm start times)
Saturday Tournament: One Saturday Tournament (TBD: Sept. 26 or Oct. 3)
Pay: $2,000.00 per year
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Work Location: East Grand Rapids Middle School
