The City of Eagan is now hiring Lifeguards for Cascade Bay Waterpark for the 2026 season!

Pay: $15.552 - $17.248, DOQ

In these positions you will:
- Provide high quality customer service and create a positive experience for guests and team members
- Prioritize guest and staff safety through proper rule enforcement
- Assist guests by answering questions
- Help with facility upkeep
- Attend required pre-season training workshops and staff meetings and in-service trainings
- Work special events
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be 15 years of age by date of hire
- Completed 9th grade or equivalent
- Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification plus Waterpark Certification or ability to acquire prior to season
- Current Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Certification or ability to acquire prior to season
- All Cascade Bay lifeguards must complete Cascade Bay training and competency requirements before lifeguarding - additional mentoring/training/in-services may be required
- Ability to regularly stand, talk and listen/hear while performing work expectations
- Ability to work early morning, daytime, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Previous lifeguarding experience
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Assistant certification
- One or more years of work or volunteer experience working with the public or children
- Previous participation in aquatic programming (swim/dive team, swim lessons, etc.)
- Availability to work a variety of hours throughout the summer months
Working Conditions:
The work environment is both indoors and outdoors and can involve contact with variable weather. The employee will be required to work in all weather conditions experienced in Eagan during the months of May – September. Weather conditions encountered may include air temperatures from -30°F to 100°F, and heat indexes to 110°F, rain, snow, sleet, wind, etc.
Work Hours:
Flexible hours; 20-30 hours per week. Shifts may include early morning, daytime, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays. Positions available mid-May through early September.
