Job Summary

• These positions are primarily intended to be for On the Job Training
  
  

(OJT).

• Aides will assist the Transit Department in back up driving
  
  

Functions Operating Both Non- CDL And CDL Required Vehicles.

• Transit Aides will be allowed to obtain their CDL and receive
  
  

training through the Transit Department and work toward becoming

trained as CDL Transit Drivers for both Bisbee and Douglas Transit

operations.

• Commitment agreements may be drafted requiring up to 18 months of
  
  

full driver service to the City of Douglas after CDLs are received.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Any combination of training,
  
  

education, which demonstrates potential ability to perform the

duties of the position.

• Valid Arizona Drivers License.
• Flexible Schedules preferred.
  
  

Special Requirements

• Residency within sixty miles of the corporate limits of the City of
  
  

Douglas, within the United States, required within a reasonable time

after hire date.
