City of Deming Employment Opportunity

Regular FT Firefighter/EMT, Fire Range 15, $14.16/hour.

Open until filled.

The City of Deming Fire Department/Emergency Medical Services is accepting applications for

a full time, regular Firefighter/EMT.

Requirements of the position: Position entails all aspects of firefighting and emergency medical

technician duties to include extinguishing fires, operating fire-fighting apparatus, and equipment,

and responding to medical emergency calls. Applicant must possess a valid New Mexico driver's

license, acceptable driving record, and high school diploma/GED.

Written Testing: Written testing will be conducted at the New Mexico Department of Labor,

312 S Silver Ave., Deming New Mexico. Applicants will be notified of date and time. The top 15

applicants that score 75% or better will move on to the physical agility portion of the testing.

Physical Agility Testing: Testing will be conducted at the Deming Fire Department, 309 S. Gold

Avenue. Time and Date to be determined.

Oral Interviews: will be held after the written and physical agility testing. Any individual

offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment medical exam, drug test, and

background check prior to appointment.
