Hiring Range: $81,266 – $105,709
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Parks & Recreation Director in Deltona, FL.
This position supports the leadership and daily operations of the Parks & Recreation Department, including oversight of facilities, recreational programs, staff, and community services. The role is responsible for coordinating department operations, supporting capital improvement initiatives, managing resources, and ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting oversight of parks, facilities, and recreational programs
- Supervising staff and ensuring effective team performance
- Assisting with budget development, monitoring, and resource allocation
- Coordinating facility operations, maintenance, and capital projects
- Evaluating programs and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Collaborating with community groups, stakeholders, and City leadership
Qualifications
- Experience in parks and recreation operations, facility management, or related field
- Strong leadership and staff supervision experience
- Experience with budgeting and operational oversight

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Public Administration, or related field
