• Repairs and maintains solid waste compactors and containers.

• Sets and removes commercial front- and rear-load trash containers.

• Delivers, installs, and removes compactors.

• Diagnoses mechanical defects and repairs compactors

• Fabricates or rebuilds components.

• Assists refuse collectors by operating front loader, roll-off and rear loader refuse trucks as needed.

• Ensures safety procedures are followed.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred.

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in welding and fabrication.

• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no airbrake restriction.
