The purpose of this job is to transport passengers in a variety of buses and vans and provide customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. - Operates and transports passengers in buses and vans along fixed routes and schedules in varying weather conditions.
- Provides customer service and assists patrons when necessary.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience.
Licenses or Certifications
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and no airbrake restriction.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position

- Assigned routes.
- Relevant laws and regulations pertaining to motor vehicles, Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public works, and transit policies and procedures.

The City of Columbia, Missouri is seeking full time, highly motivated and dependable individuals willing to provide safe, professional and customer focused public transit service. We have full 8 hour shifts and split shifts available.
Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime. The starting salary is a minimum of $20.64 – $21.06 per hour plus a shift differential of $1.00 per hour for any hours worked from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.
