What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armory Facility Attendant - Community Recreation (Temporary Part-Time Position) 2026 position at City of Columbia, MO?
The facility attendant will report to the Recreation Supervisor.
This individual will be in a leadership role of an assigned recreational area. This person will supervise the facility during weekend rentals and some weekday evenings.
Responsibilities will include: checking rental groups in and out of facility, explaining rental guidelines when groups check in, ensuring facility is presented in a clean and acceptable state before rentals begin, and setting up rental areas in accordance with the rentals’ previously stated needs.
Attendant will ensure safety of patrons, and enforce rules of the facility while providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 yrs. of age
- Has knowledge of, or ability to learn, rules & equipment associated with the sport or activity taking place.
- Ability to communicate in a calm and respectful manner.
- Able to calmly resolve disputes with firmness, fairness, and impartiality.
- Able to communicate with people of all age groups and large groups.
- Able to lift and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Able to perform other duties as needed and/or assigned by supervisor.
- Must follow the established dress code.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
