What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Library Aide position at City of Colleyville?
Under general supervision of the Director of Library Services, the purpose of this position is to provide support for a variety of Library departmental functions

- Assists with various work assignments from as many areas of the Library as practical.
- Assists in providing support for Library programs and services.
- Assists with planning, preparing and working special programs or events.
- Maintains library materials by shelving books, shelf reading, and straighten shelves as needed.
- Maintains good employee relations through timely and accurate response to questions and concerns; responds to sensitive issues while maintaining complete confidentiality.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
- Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
- Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one (1) year of library or customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.
