**DEFINITION**
To enforce City animal control laws, ordinances and regulations; to
ensure the proper care of animals confined in the shelter; and to assist
the public in reclaiming lost animals and in adoption procedures.
**SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED**
Receives general supervision from the Chief of Police, Commander Captain
or Lieutenant.
Exercises no supervision.

- Maintain and care for the City animal shelter; feed and house
procedures for animals; euthanize injured or unwanted animals.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports; prepare
and filed of the animal shelter and the animals housed; log all
incidents concerning animal control.
