GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Part-time position includes weekends and some holidays. Pay rate $18.07 per hour.
Under direct supervision, performs semi-skilled and unskilled work to assist in the maintenance and cleaning of City grounds including trash removal in assigned areas. More specifically, ensures that street ends, beachside parks, and street end trash cans are attended to. Reports to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a Thursday through Monday work week from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM. May be asked to work special events and some holidays if required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
Performs general landscape maintenance duties, polices areas to remove debris and litter, and removes trash from trash cans in designated areas.
Must deal with city staff and general public in a positive and professional way.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs other related work as required.
May be required to work during a declared emergency and may be requested to work during an undeclared emergency or in the aftermath of an event associated with a declared emergency. On an incident-by-incident basis, the employee's Department Head or designee will make the determination when the employee will be required to work.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school, and 1 to 2 years’ experience in ground maintenance; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Qualifications:MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including lawn mowers, edgers, tractors, etc. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The job is rated for Medium Work.
