Detailed job description (should describe the actual duties for the position)
- Supervise Right-of-Way and Code Enforcement Inspectors to assure proper installation and maintenance of improvements within the City’s Right-of-Way.
- Help handle disputes between Right-of-Way and Code Enforcement Inspectors and property owners and/or contractors.
- Work with Residents First and Code Enforcement Administrator to prioritize and assign 311 sidewalk complaints and Right-of-Way requests to the Inspectors and track completion and documentation of work assignments.
- Work with Residents First and Code Enforcement Administrator to develop and maintain a records management system for tracking complaints and other work within the Right-of-Way.
- Evaluate and document the condition of sidewalks and pedestrian pathways to ensure compliance with municipal standards and safety requirements.
- Attend meetings and prepare internal and external communications, as needed.
- Responsible for site safety and environmental compliance and reporting.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, utilities, constituents, and all related parties to deliver projects per City standards and contract requirements.
- Follow and execute project close-out protocol and Accela Work Reports.
- Review monthly mileage reports and verify authenticity
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing construction projects, supervising field inspectors, scheduling, resolving construction disputes, and cost estimating is required.
- Requires knowledge of sewers, paving, water mains, curbing, and sidewalks.
- Proficiency in Pegasus, Accela, and CityWorks, or other similar work management tools.
- Experience, knowledge and/or certifications in at least 3 of the following: Flexible Pavement, ACI Concrete Field Testing, Traffic Work Zone, Compaction Testing, Aggregate Testing, NICET level 3 or 4 certification, OSHA 10 HR or OSHA 30 HR preferred.
