How You Add Value
- Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Conducts investigations by making contact with victims, gathering evidence such as photographs, surveillance video, witness and victim statements, producing affidavits for defendant’s arrest and filing cases with the District Attorney’s office and initiates field investigations of city code violations.
- Provides crime scene and traffic direction/control field support during investigations as well as coordinating with other agencies in joint investigations, abandoned vehicle enforcement.
- Prepares a variety of documents by gathering information and evidence, completing the appropriate forms, typing affidavits, warrants and base reports and receiving supervisor’s approval.
- Provides services to crime victims by providing information and referrals to available supportive services.
- Prepares offense and incident reports and testifies in court if necessary. Must be able to render credible testimony in a court of law
- Regular attendance required.
What You Bring to the Role
- Requires High School diploma or GED. Associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school preferred.
- At least one year of related experience preferred.
- Valid Texas Driver's License required.
- Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check, along with a detailed Pre-Employment Background.
