The City of Casper is seeking a friendly, dependable On-Call Customer Service Greeter to join our Customer Service team! This part-time, on-call role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, is highly reliable, and can step in on short notice to support our full-time greeter during lunches, appointments, and paid time off.
Responsibilities include greeting and registering visitors, issuing badges, directing guests, answering and transferring calls, providing general information, and performing basic clerical tasks while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. Candidates must be 18 or older, customer-service oriented, able to stay calm in tense situations, communicate effectively, follow procedures, maintain confidentiality, and work independently. No prior experience is required—training is provided.Incumbents are responsible for providing courteous customer service by assisting visitors and customers to their appropriate destinations.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Receives direct supervision from the Accounts Receivable Supervisor or higher-level management.
1. Greets and registers visitors, informs employees of the visitor’s arrival, and directs visitors to appropriate location.2. Provides general customer service and communication with the public regarding safety, policies, rules, and general information about the facility.
3. Performs basic clerical support by utilizing standard office equipment including making photocopies, filing, and faxing documents.
4. Answers and transfers phone calls or relay messages.
5. Maintains clean and orderly workstation and performs basic routine cleaning tasks.
6. Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Employment with the City of Casper is contingent upon a successful background screen and pre-employment drug test. Applicants who have failed a pre-employment screen or have been terminated from the City of Casper are ineligible for employment consideration for 12 months. City of Casper employees in data creation and modification, security sensitive or safety and protective positions are subject to pre-employment drug testing. Some employees may be subject to random drug testing if their responsibilities include:

• Handling or working with hazardous materials, including chemicals as well as solid and liquid waste
• Operating or maintaining water and wastewater systems
• Writing or modifying code, maintaining, or modifying City data systems including work on networks, servers, and communication systems

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
Incumbents may be subjected to exposure and risk in interacting with hostile, resistant, and unstable persons. The nature of duties involves constant mental and visual attention, and potential personal danger.
