What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks Seasonal Custodial Maintenance position at City of Canyon TX?
SUMMARY: Responsibility to carry out day to day operations of the Parks Department including but not limited to park, pavilion, baseball field, and athletic complex maintenance. Seasonal employment. 40 hrs per week average. May work weekends during baseball season. Seasonal work period March 1 through September 25.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Will be cleaning all pavilions daily and checking pavilions on weekends as needed. Responsible for cleaning restrooms and emptying trash cans. Power washing pavilions and restrooms as needed. Emptying trash in parks. Also, other duties in park maintenance such as painting. Overtime for any hours above 40. Will be able to flex time off.
QUALIFICATIONS: Class A drivers license with good driving record.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must be 16 yrs of age or older.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Foreign language a plus
REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to take matters in their own hands and make the right decision for the situation according to the rules and safety guidelines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work outside all day in cold and heat and be able to be at work at all times of the day for weekend duty. Canyon residency will be a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be willing to work with and under direction of park maintenance employees.
COMPENSATION: Minimum 15.00 per hr
