As a Natural Resources Technician, you will assist with the planning, administration, and implementation of Natural Resources programs focused on the management of water resources, upland habitat, wildlife, and environmental outreach and education. - Engaging residents and community groups through environmental education and outreach.
- Coordinating volunteers and seasonal staff to support natural resources projects.
- Leading water quality, lake management, and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Implementing programs that protect and enhance the City's natural resources.
- Managing natural resource projects, contractors, and environmental monitoring.
- Providing exceptional service through collaboration and community engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental studies, or a related natural resources field; or an equivalent combination of training and education to perform the work.
- Two years of experience in water resources and lake management required.
- Experience using GIS-based software.
- Ability to present to citizen groups and City commissions.
- Experience and interest in habitat and wildlife management preferred.
- Experience with wetland conservation requirements preferred.
- Local government experience preferred.
- Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.
