This is a part-time position and is scheduled to work an average of 19 hours per week and less than 1000 hours per fiscal year. Performs general secretarial work under the direction of the Airport Manager. This person will have considerable contact with the public and employees and must use good judgment in responding to questions and inquiries. Must be willing to adopt and exhibit the City of Brownwood I SERVE Core Values.
Examples Of Specific Work Performed
- Perform clerical, computer, and general office duties such as spreadsheets
- Serve as receptionist and answer phones
- Track inbound aircraft using desktop apps
- Operate various office machines and equipment, including, but not limited to personal computer and applicable software, and calculator
- Design various forms as needed
- Employ skillful techniques in dealing with the public through telephone inquiries and personal contact
- Receive and bill out fuel orders
- Answer radio calls on the Unicom Radio
- Work in FBO Director and Aerosimple Airport Monitoring Systems
- Fills beverage vending machines, orders coffee, cookies, and other refreshments while maintaining inventory for same
- Assist Airport Manager with Preparing quarterly reports for Airport Board Meetings
- Cleans the FBO when others are out
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Physical And Environmental Conditions
- Indoors, light physical activity.
- Ability to sit, stand and move about an office or building.
- Employee occasionally lifts materials weighing approximately 20 to 30 pounds or climbs in order to reach cabinets.
- Ability to bend and squat in order to file or retrieve information.
- May be exposed to electrical, mechanical, or chemical hazards when operating/maintaining office equipment.
Frequent to constant contact with other City employees, Pilots, Passengers, and General public.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Undergraduate or business school training in secretarial administration or related work experience
- Three to five years of experience preferred
