Position Summary
The award-winning Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department is looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to provide the public with a safe and well-maintained facility at the Zanewood Recreation Center. This position will provide general maintenance, custodial, equipment, facility, ground maintenance services and customer service to the public and internal staff.
This individual must be able to work in an extremely fast paced work environment, with a desire to work in a highly diverse recreation center.

- Perform routine cleaning tasks including floor maintenance and sanitation duties including but not limited to cleaning restrooms and locker rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, window washing, disinfecting surfaces, trash pick-up and removal.
- Perform snow and ice control operations, with primary responsibility to shovel sidewalks.
- Set up and take down of meeting rooms, module office equipment and furniture.
- Perform light building repairs on flooring, doors, lighting, and painting.
- Perform general landscaping maintenance: weeding, watering and pruning.
- Maintain organized inventory and maintenance records.
- Conduct daily or weekly inspections of building and grounds to identify potential issues and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
- Follow annual maintenance schedule daily and repair equipment as needed.
- Assist with customer service requests.
- Answer general questions.
