Resumes may also be submitted but it is not a substitute for a completed application. This recruitment is open until filled .
The examination process will consist of:
Review of applications for minimum qualifications for the position and to ensure all materials have been submitted. All applicants that pass minimum qualifications will be placed on the Eligible List which will be used by the Brentwood Police Department to conduct panel interviews with the leadership team. T he eligible list is good for at least 6 months and may be extended up to an additional 18 months. This eligible list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill all current and future openings in this classification as long as the list is active. The best qualified candidates will then be invited to participate in a CritiCall examination. Top scoring candidates will be invited to participate in a polygraph exam. Top candidates from the polygraph exam will be invited to the Captains interview. Top candidates will move to the background process. Upon completion of the background, a conditional job offer can be made, and candidates will be scheduled for medical and psychological evaluations. The employment offer is contingent upon successful completion of these evaluations. - Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- Two years of full-time experience as a Police Dispatcher with a law enforcement agency equivalent to the City of Brentwood's Police Dispatcher I.
- Possession of a California Peace Officer Standard and Training (POST) Public Safety Dispatchers Certificate at time of hire.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive law enforcement background check.
