WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional after hours needed.
WORK LOCATION: City of Branson, Missouri; This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite as well as in and around the City of Branson, Missouri

What does a day "in the life" look like for this role?
- Conduct building inspections and minor plan reviews for code compliance.
- Inspect new construction, renovations, and repairs for quality and safety toverify construction aligns with approved plans and adopted codes.
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and findings.
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in the construction trades.
- Possess or be able to obtain within one (1) year of hire date, a minimum of one (1) of the following inspection certifications:International Code Council (ICC) Building, ICC Plumbing, ICC Electrical, ICC Residential, or ICC Mechanical.Certification must be current and maintained during term of employment.
- A valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position is required.
- Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
- Act safely and follow safety standards while at work.
- Be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
- Graduation from an accredited technical school program in the construction trades.
- Prior building inspection experience.
