Greets and orients visitors to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter Adoption center. Explains adoption policies and procedures to visitors directing them to appropriate locations in the shelter.
Assist visitors by answering questions about specific animals. Connecting visitors with staff and volunteers to assist with their visits.
Processes adoption transactions, including explaining the adoption contract and shelter medical history and collecting and receipting funds.
Answers phones, responding to adoption inquiries, taking lost and found reports, or transferring calls to appropriate individuals where appropriate.

Takes all reasonable steps to maintain a safe work environment
Performs related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma.
Previous experience working with animals, or knowledge of animal care preferred
