What You'll Do
As our Senior Services Driver, you will:
- Drive a delivery van/car on scheduled routes to provide meal services to homebound seniors.
- Deliver meals with care while observing clients' general health and safety conditions.
- Communicate any client concerns to supervisors for appropriate follow-up services.
- Assist with meal packaging, loading, and preparation as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature monitoring and recordkeeping.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks.
- Keep delivery routes, logs, and reports accurate and up to date.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming senior center environment.
- Support special projects and other duties that contribute to excellent senior services.

Qualifications
Required
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License.
- Good driving record (DMV documentation required).
- One (1) year of driving experience, preferably operating delivery vans or multi-passenger vehicles.
- Ability to pass or complete within two months of hire:
- National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course
- American Red Cross Adult CPR Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
Preferred
- Experience working with seniors.
- Knowledge of local service areas and routes.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
Work Environment
This is an active, hands-on position that includes:
- Frequent driving and travel throughout the community.
- Lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, and loading meal containers.
- Interacting regularly with seniors, staff, and community members.
- Responding quickly and safely while operating delivery vehicles.
