Job Summary
The Asset Control Manager is responsible for every aspect of inventory management. This includes everything from inventory tracking to conducting an annual inventory audit and inventory maintenance. The Asset Control Manager will maintain daily records of invoices and shipments.
Essential Functions
- Provide oversight and direction for the Asset Control Specialist
- Conduct studies and analyze the operations of all BPD’s inventory systems
- Assisting in the implementation of an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures (Workday Phase 2)
- Make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of all inventory systems
- Prepare and conduct training
- Liaises with the program and other internal or city personnel to discuss and address inventory related issues
- Creation of detailed inventory reports
- Tracking and documenting the movement of equipment
- Distribution and issuance of property
- Maintain Agency property records
- Receive request for Agency replacement of departmental property
- Removal of surplus and unserviceable property
- Accept and document property that is an approved donation
- Oversee the disbursement of donated property
- Coordinate and document the disposal of all agency-owned property
- Coordinate and oversee an annual property audit
- Manage and distribute property tags
- Overseer to ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to and updated when needed
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
AND
Experience: Candidates typically need at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities, or equipment maintenance management, which often includes 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
OR
Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
