JOB SUMMARY:
As a Field Service Technician, your focus lies within our Field Service Department, where your primary role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems on-site with minimal supervision. Beyond technical prowess, your proficiency in communication and management is crucial for successfully completing assignments and fostering positive client relationships. You'll also play a pivotal role in creating precise labor and material requirements, essential for generating accurate repair estimates. Your multifaceted skill set and dedication to excellence ensure efficient field operations and client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flexibility to work on a variety of equipment and machines
Knowledge of rigging and how to safely remove cylinders, pumps, and motors from a variety of machines and systems
Decerning conversations with customers to understand issues and how to proceed with repairs and diagnosing
Plan travel to arrive to customer locations on time
When components are brought back to the shop, follow check in procedure, work with prospective department for time frame, work needed for repairs, and technical abilities
Answering phone calls from customers and have a full description of work scope, people needed, and parts/tools required before ending conversation
Assist departments when not on call
Work with parts department to have purchase item when on job site.
Write efficient and effective estimates for all jobs with detailed work scopes and time schedule
Set up and take down work sites efficiently
Clean as work is completed
Any other assignments and duties given by the President or Manager.
