JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure that all grounds of the Ballwin Golf Course are safe, functional, clean and present an appropriate and pleasant appearance so that they can be properly utilized and enjoyed by citizens.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The Seasonal Golf Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting the Golf Course staff in the upkeep and maintenance of golf course, grounds and facilities.
- Grass cutting, watering, weeding, trimming, etc., of the Ballwin Golf Course.
- Assistance with in-house construction and repair projects at the Ballwin Golf Course.
- Removing weeds.
- Hand raking sand bunkers (golf course)
- Set tee markers and cups on greens (golf course)
- Cleaning of equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Sod removal and installation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Working knowledge of construction, maintenance, and landscaping practices and methods.
- Working knowledge and ability in the use of manual and power tools used for grounds maintenance, and construction projects (weed-eater, brush chipper and assorted hand tools.)
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods indoors and outdoors, under a variety of weather conditions, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate mowers, tractors, and trucks.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with supervisors and other employees, as well as independently as necessary.
- Ability to understand and work within safety guidelines.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Some experience preferred.
Up to 40 hours per week. Some weekends required.
