Overview
The Operations Manager for the Electric Lineman Division will oversee all aspects of operations related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems. Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of electric linemen and support staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Operations Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and service quality.
- Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Lead safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Budget and Resource Management:
Prepare and manage operational activities, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of tools and materials for operations.
- Project Coordination:
Collaborate with engineers to plan and execute large-scale electrical installations and maintenance projects.
Monitor project progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear communication with team
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, safety metrics, and project status.
- Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the division.
Stay updated on industry trends
Qualifications:
* Education:
Journeyman Lineman, work in the field 5 year or more.
Relevant certifications in electrical operations or safety management are a plus.
* Experience:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, lineman operations, and industry regulations.
* Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform fieldwork and visit job sites as needed.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with frequent visits to field sites.
Regular overtime and on-call duties may be required.
Pay: $79,359.28 - $121,858.10 per year
