This role involves maintaining and repairing City buildings and facilities to ensure the safety and well-being of all occupants.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with HVAC system troubleshooting, repairs, and installation.
- Perform technical trades work in the maintenance, repair, and construction of City buildings, facilities, and/or parks.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and planned projects as assigned.
- Ensure all buildings, equipment, and systems comply with laws, codes, regulations, and standards.
- Perform building inspections to identify potential issues and initiate corrective actions.
- Read blueprints and design plans for maintenance and repair projects.
- Operate various tools and equipment such as drills, saws, and painting tools.
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are clean and functional for future use.
- Ability and willingness to assist other trades as needed.

- High school diploma or GED required, supplemented by two years of experience in HVAC work, one or more building trades, or maintenance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform essential functions and apply City/departmental policies and procedures effectively.
Other things to know:
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week; shift options include Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
