What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Assistant I - Full Time position at City of Arcadia, FL?
WORK OBJECTIVE:
Performs clerical duties including but not limited to, organization of all Finance Department files; determining the retention or destruction time frame of said files. Incumbent will manage daily deposits and revenue data entry; assisting all areas of the Finance Department as instructed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent; knowledge of clerical procedures and office equipment; ability of proper English usage, spelling, punctuation and grammar. Cash handling skills are required. Prefer up to two (2) years’ experience in office setting demonstrating ability to perform the essential functions of the work. Must have the skills and abilities to interpret information to co-workers. Basic computer skills in MS Word, MS Office and Excel is preferred. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language in both spoken and written formats.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Performs a variety of functions as assigned by the Finance Department Director/ Operations Manager.
- Assists to generate correspondence, reports, records, and files as directed.
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, manages daily deposits and revenue data entry.
- Assists Finance Director, Operations Manager and Fiscal Assistant(s) as directed.
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, manage the City asset inventory keeping complete and up-to-date records, including the disposal of any said assets.
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, orders all office supplies for the Finance and Utility Billing Departments.
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, manages all work orders and repairs for the Finance and Utility Billing Departments.
- Performs related duties as directed when such duties are logical and appropriate

Pay: $17.66 - $22.25 per hour
