The City Needs a Customer-service Oriented Individual Who Enjoys Interacting With The Public To Safely Drive a Van Or Bus During The Busy Afternoon Hours To Transport Patrons Of The Public Transportation Program. In This Position You Will

Employment Type
This Part-time position is paid hourly and is routinely scheduled for approximately 15 hours per week.
Location and Hours
Typical shift will be scheduled on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Hired individual may also be able to pick up additional hours to cover vacancies but is not expected to work more than 20 hours per week.
Need to Have
Must possess a valid Nebraska state driver’s license and successfully pass background checks including driving records check, drug screening, physical exam, and criminal background check. Must be able to obtain CPR certification.

- Coordinate routing and pick-up of passengers, including children, elderly and/or disabled.
- Be responsible for safety of passengers getting on and off van or bus including operating wheelchair lift.
- Collect fares, handle cash, maintain passenger logs, and use radio or phone to communicate with dispatch.

Need to Have
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Preferred candidate will have both driving and basic clerical experience.
- Safe driving record.
