The purpose of this classification is to monitor guests and activities at the Community Center and to perform manual work functions associated with the preparation and setup for events.
This is a part-time position. (No benefits offered)Monitors all patrons and activities in the building during assigned shift to ensure and maintain a safe environment: enforces all rules and regulations of the facility; monitors and tours facilities and meeting rooms as needed.
Provides building security while on shift or during special events and functions: opens and closes the facility as needed; ensures that the building is secure and that all participants have exited before closing the facility.
Provides customer service to the public: greets and assists the public as they come into the facility or call on the telephone; takes messages or directs calls to appropriate staff; assists potential renters regarding set up needs and agreement specifications; resolves routine patron complaints; takes reservations for facility use; disperses recreational equipment to patrons.
Participates in the preparation, setup, and take-down for events, meetings, and programs occurring in the facilities: assists with the set up of furniture and audio visual equipment in conference rooms, banquet rooms and meeting rooms; meets with customers to insure customer satisfaction and address pre-event requests from customers; monitors meeting room and functions in building to ensure they are running smoothly.
Performs general office duties; monitors inventory and orders supplies and equipment as needed.
Assists in keeping the facility, equipment, and supplies neat, orderly and clean: checks trash flow in building and takes trash to dumpster; identifies and notifies maintenance staff of needed maintenance.
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year experience in facility supervision and working with the public; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Will be required to obtain a valid State of Louisiana driver’s license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment for this classification.
Salary : $25,999 - $31,203
