Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent AND Three years’ experience in a similar position and/or equivalent knowledge of Oregon Traffic Laws.

Knowledge of: computers and electronic data processing and related equipment at advanced levels; modern office practices and procedures, including business English, spelling, composition, and arithmetic; accounting principles and practices; computers and related software including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, databases, and e-mail.
Skill in: writing clear and concise correspondence; effectively communicating orally and in writing; courtroom procedures and techniques for testifying; the operation of standard office equipment, including copy and fax machines, multi-line telephone; operating computers for data entry, word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheet programs.

Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting critical deadlines and maintaining accuracy and quality. WORK ENVIRONMENT
In the performance of the job duties, the employee will be working in an office environment under usual office working conditions. Work may also be performed in meeting settings in offices, conference rooms, and public spaces. Any work performed outside of the police office environment must be conducted in a secure location to maintain CJIS compliance. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments, with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.

- Reviews computer generated vendor prescreened citations and electronically authorizes vendor to issue citations.
- Testifies in court against persons accused of photo radar speeding or red-light violations.
- Maintains close working relationships with Municipal Court Personnel.
- Operates and monitors photo enforcement systems to identify traffic violations such as speeding and red-light infractions.
- Reviews and validates captured images and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Prepares and processes citations for mailing, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
- Assists in troubleshooting and reporting technical issues with photo enforcement equipment.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies governing photo enforcement.
- Participates in training and stays informed on changes in traffic enforcement laws and photo enforcement technology.

- Ability to obtain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance upon hire.
- Ability to obtain Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification within six months of employment.
- Working knowledge of Oregon Revised Statutes for traffic enforcement.
