Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Credit Analyst to join our Underwriting team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing a loan applicant's ability to repay the loan and recommending that it be approved or denied to Loan Officers, Loan Committee, or the Board Loan Committee. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide thorough and consistent communication through various channels including phone, email, and in-person.
- Assist with the review and recommendation of requested loan accounts.
- Explain debt analysis including debt-to-income ratios and findings clearly to Loan Department.
- Gather and verify required documentation for lending operations and bank regulations and procedures.
- Create and update spreadsheets or databases while analyzing data to ensure repayment methods.
- Complete accurate collateral descriptions.
- Participate in inspections on collateral or lending events.
- Review appraisal documentation.
- Handle outbound calling to follow up on incomplete requests or issues and provide additional information as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer information.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Utilize computer applications to manage documentation effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while communicating with customers and peers.
Requirements
