Job Description: Mortgage Loan Processor
Department: Loans
Status: Full time
Description: This position processes real estate loans, assists loan staff, prepares, and closes loans. It requires excellent customer service skills, advanced computer skills, and the ability to multi-task with close attention to detail. Previous commercial loan and/or real estate experience preferred. Knowledge of secondary market loans and prior project management experience are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers
- Prepare all loan documents
- Order and review collateral documents
- Process credit reports and review findings
- Ensure compliance with regulations and City National Bank policies and procedures
- Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone to; collect loan references and other verifiable information as well as assist with any questions
- Prepare and close loans in a timely manner
- Explain terms and conditions of loans
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Intermediate to advanced calculation skills
- Clear communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work with deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong multi-tasking & organizational skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills, along with ability to maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience:
- Previous mortgage or commercial loan experience preferred; secondary market experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years college and/or prior banking experience preferred
