About the Role
Supports the Chief Credit Officer in leading Credit Administration and safeguarding portfolio quality across the organization. Provides leadership in credit underwriting, loan policy administration, portfolio monitoring, regulatory compliance, and analyst development while serving as a strategic backup to the Chief Credit Officer.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Associates in underwriting quality and workflow execution
- Review complex credit memos, loan write-ups, renewals, and relationship exposures
- Provide elevated credit approval authority within assigned lending limits
- Support lenders with loan structure, covenant strategy, and borrower risk assessment
- Monitor portfolio quality trends, criticized assets, and past due relationships
- Partner with the Chief Credit Officer on policy interpretation, exceptions, and risk trends
- Participate in customer calls with Loan Officers on larger or more complex relationships
- Coach and mentor emerging credit talent and strengthen succession within Credit Administration
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or management
- CPA, MBA, or advanced banking school completion preferred
- 7 years of commercial credit, underwriting, or credit administration experience
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of lending regulations, policy governance, and loan review standards
- Advanced ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and borrower trends
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and credit administration software
