Job Summary

8:30-5:30 Shift

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire curiosity and support the foundational skills that children need to thrive. As a vital part of our educational community, you will implement developmentally appropriate activities, communicate effectively with parents, and promote a love of learning from the earliest ages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills.
• Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Provide attentive toddler care by supervising daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play.
• Use classroom management techniques to foster respectful interactions and address behavioral challenges constructively.
• Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing when applicable.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and supportive manner.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare policies at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suited for early learners.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development in areas such as special education, early intervention strategies, and preschool teaching techniques.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles and experience applying them in real-world settings.
• Experience developing curriculum plans that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies tailored for toddlers to promote positive behavior and engagement.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is required.
• Previous experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly valued.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in childhood safety standards is encouraged.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
