Commercial Glazing Fabricator

Job Summary

City Glass Company is the largest and oldest full-service glass company in Colorado Springs, proudly serving Southern Colorado since 1950. We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Fabricator to join our fabrication team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced individual who has worked for a glass and glazing company and understands commercial glazing systems, storefront fabrication, and commercial door hardware. Please do not apply unless you have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working for a glass and glazing company as either a Commercial Glazier or Fabricator. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Duties

· Fabricate aluminum storefront and commercial glazing systems

· Prepare and assemble aluminum framing systems

· Fabricate and prep commercial doors and door hardware

· Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication details, and work orders

· Cut, machine, assemble, and prepare materials for installation

· Ensure fabricated materials meet company quality standards before leaving the shop

· Safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

· Work closely with project managers, warehouse personnel, and field installers to meet production schedules

Skills

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience as either a Commercial Glazier or Fabricator with a glass and glazing company is required.

· Knowledge of commercial glazing systems, aluminum storefront systems, and fabrication processes

· Experience with commercial door hardware, including preparation and assembly

· Experience operating Rhino is a plus, but not required.

· Ability to accurately read a tape measure

· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

· Self-motivated with an excellent work ethic

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Valid driver’s license

· Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening

Physical Requirements

· Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds

· Stand, bend, kneel, and work on your feet throughout the day

· Safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools in a shop environment

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
