The Chief Enterprise Systems Officer (CESO) at the Controller’s Office (CON) is an outcome-driven senior technology executive. This position serves as the leader for all enterprise-wide systems within the City and County of San Francisco (the City) and will drive a cohesive vision for multiple citywide enterprise systems that include core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the City’s financial and personnel system of record. Core duties include strategy development, design, implementation, maintenance, modernization and optimization of critical business applications. The CESO ensures that system applications align with Controller’s Office goals and operate efficiently across different departments, while managing system integrations, security, and compliance with government regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a member of the Controller’s Office leadership team, the Chief Enterprise Systems Officer (CESO) will coordinate functions with other division directors and City agencies to carry out the mission and vision of the Controller’s Office. This position operates within a broad policy framework and leads three (3) senior managers who in turn manage and lead large teams of technical and business-functional professionals to support multiple enterprise systems in the City.
